The wider handle on these is what sold me — my 9-month-old can actually grip them instead of dropping them halfway to her mouth. We've been using them for a few weeks now and the self-feeding has really taken off.
My 7-month-old actually gets these to her mouth instead of her ear, which is a first. The chunky little handles are easy for her to grab, and they've survived being thrown off the high chair tray a dozen times already.
The short, chunky handle is exactly what my 7-month-old needed to grip it on her own, and the spoon tip is soft enough that she doesn't gag herself. We've been using one at every meal for a couple weeks and she's already scooping yogurt with less mess.
