The straw is a good size for little mouths and my daughter went from sipping to actually drinking in about a week. The 5-pack means there's always a clean one ready, which has honestly cut down my dishwashing.
My 18-month-old figured out the open cup lip on the first try, and the straw let her practice without water going everywhere. The 5-pack means there's always a clean one ready.
The straw is wide enough that my toddler actually gets a decent sip instead of just chewing on it, which was the whole problem with our old cups. Five in the pack means there's always a clean one while the rest are in the dishwasher.
